| Chiang Mai Bicycle Tours Experience the Thai countryside by bicycle. Starting point is Chiang Mai, the "Rose of the North". We pick you up from your hotel and transfer you by car to a small traditional village in Doi Saket district about 20 minutes north east of Chiang Mai The highlight of the tour is cruising along small countryside roads with hardly any traffic stopping at interesting local sights without having to worry about city traffic. We will pass through traditional villages with wooden houses on stilts, ride along small roads through the rice fields and stop at a lake surrounded by beautiful mountains. Encounters like water buffalos crossing the street or children surprised by the unusual sight of foreigners in their village are to be expected. We can give our guests a unique insight in the life of the local people in the Chiang Mai valley because of our experience and thorough knowledge of this area.  Om 08.30 uur worden we opgehaald door een busje van het fietsverhuur bedrijf. Die brengt ons in 20 min. buiten de stad naar de opstapplaats voor de fietstocht. Na ’n korte uitleg vertrekken we. De fietsen zijn zo goed als nieuw. Met 24 personen rijden we onze gids achterna door de rijstvelden. Eén gids is ’n Nederlandse jongen die met z’n Thaise vriendin naar hier is gekomen. Als eerste bezoeken we ’n school waar kinderen van 5 tot 17 jaar op zitten, verdeelt over verschillende klassen. More |
