During this tour you will bike through the historic city but moreover, visit some of the more unknown Chiang Mai city areas which are hardly visited by tourists! Therefore, this tour is also attractive for those who have seen ‘’all” and want to explore areas of Chiang Mai which normally they would never visit! Certainly.. you will see some of Chiang Mai’s famous wats, you will be able to talk with monks at a Buddhist monastery to discuss life views, experiences or topics that come up! But you will also be confronted with some of the poorer areas of Chiang Mai, and experience the slum areas where Thailand’s prosperity has not reached its inhabitants yet. But despite their poverty, people will still greet you with a smile. Our tour will also lead along a selection of local markets, foodstalls and small restaurants where you will be able to discover and taste the authentic Northern and Chiang Mai Thai food sitting among the Thai themselves. Our guide or the stall owner will be more then happy to explain how the food is prepared and chat with you about their cooking secrets! Our guide will also teach you the basic Thai words and expressions to order Thai dishes. The tour is relative short in distance to offer you enough time to experience the food!
